Outmatched: A Mansfield Park / Sense & Sensibility Vagary by Jayne Bamber
“It seems you must disoblige one of your children, Sir Thomas, and you must be the chooser of the pain inflicted. Your son disinherited, or your daughter married to an imbecile she cannot love.”
When Sir Thomas Bertram returns home to Mansfield after his year in Antigua, he expects respite from his many troubles, in the bosom of his family. Instead he is met with blackmail, collusion, and the ominous threat of scandal.
When Mrs. Margaret Dashwood takes her daughters from Norland to Barton Park, she carries with her a secret hope that they might someday return, though she is not yet ready to pay the price for it.
A mutual connection bent on manipulation and revenge sets the stage for heartbreak, intrigue, and plenty of surprises as the worlds of Sense & Sensibility and Mansfield Park collide. Alliances shift along the way as familiar characters, bound by family ties, descend on Norland Park. There everyone has their own agenda, and constant peril looms as a large party of relations all scheme to outwit, out-maneuver, and outmatch their opponents.
Elinor & Marianne Dashwood, Maria Bertram, Fanny Price, and Mary Crawford forge new friendships and alliances amidst the chaos of conspiracy, romance, redemption and self-discovery, the likes of which Norland Park has never seen before.

Marooned with Mr. Darcy by Abbey North
Marooned with the last man she would ever marry…
Lizzy and Jane are on a ship bound for America to stay with Mr. Collins’s younger brother when they meet Mr. Bingley and Mr. Darcy. Mr. Darcy’s disapproval of the burgeoning affection between Jane and Charles is painfully obvious, and Lizzy does her best to thwart his attempts to stop the developing relationship. She is puzzled by how invigorating it can be to trade barbs with Darcy, and he seems to enjoy it as well, but he is the last man she could ever soften toward due to his haughty manner and prideful ways.
When their ship wrecks, Lizzy and Darcy end up stranded alone on an island. As the days pass while they await rescue, the undeniable attraction between them becomes overwhelming, leading them both to act. Even as Lizzy succumbs to the temptation and falls for Darcy, she wonders if he is indeed the last man she would ever marry, or if she has been fooling herself about the strength of her emotions all along?
While Abbey sometimes writes sweet JAFF, this is strictly SENSUAL.

The Pocket Book Series, Volume 2: Gaslighting & Gallantry, A Collection of Pride & Prejudice Short Story Variations by Aubrey Anderson and Marion Kay Hill
Introducing Volume 2 of The Pocket Book Series, a conveniently-sized collection of Pride & Prejudice Short Story Variations. In Volume 2: Gaslighting & Gallantry, authors Aubrey Anderson & Marion Kay Hill take turns exploring the ramifications and successes of a character trying to manipulate a situation to their favor, while also demonstrating that the most surprising characters can save the day.
Subtle or overt gaslighting, or attempt at overwriting another’s known reality, was exhibited more than once as important plot points by Jane Austen in Pride & Prejudice. It is not shocking that Caroline Bingley was one of the master manipulators, but it would surprise some to know Mr Darcy had a hand in it as well. While one was arguably intentionally done and the other not, the plot to separate Jane and Mr Bingley happened through many conniving moves affecting the couple and what they thought they knew was developing between them. Luckily for them, Elizabeth Bennet did not fall for the subterfuge.
Though gaslighting was not a term known during the regency era, Austen not only displayed it brilliantly, she demonstrated that the gallant party could come also in the form of a former gaslighting offender, not just a beloved sister. This is seen in the event that occurred between Lt. Wickham and Lydia Bennet. Speculations as to his true motivations rarely say that the master seducer had intentional designs of marrying Lydia without any proper inducement. What may or may not have happened had Mr Darcy not pursued them is for another time, but in his act, he showed he had learned from his previous behaviours.
Each volume is a stand-alone set of six different tales exploring a specific theme or topic centred around changing events in Pride & Prejudice. In all, our main couple finds their way ultimately to each other, though in varying degrees of speed and suspense.
The Pocket Book Series has been specifically designed to be small in stature and contain stories short in length to be your perfect pocket companion. Whether waiting at the doctor’s office or in line at the supermarket, these books are printed in the smallest size available to easily fit in your pocket or your pocketbook. Every short story is less than twenty thousand words and meant to be moved through in a quick amount of time, while still leaving you satisfied and tantalized.
This volume contains romances placed in Jane Austen’s Regency England and its heat rating is for you to decide.

Perusasion: Behind the Scenes by Various Authors; Edited by Susan Mason-Milks & Maria Grace
You pierce my soul.
Before Jane Austen wrote that romantic letter from Captain Frederick Wentworth to Anne Elliot, she crafted a masterful story of heartbreak and longing that still resonates with readers today.
But what of those scenes that Jane Austen never wrote? What Persuasion fan doesn’t want to listen in on Anne and Wentworth’s first courtship, laugh at the follies and foibles of the Elliot family, sail along on Captain Wentworth’s harrowing adventures at sea or attend Wentworth and Anne’s wedding.
Twelve authors of Austen-inspired fiction: Diana Birchall, Marilyn Brant, Jack Caldwell, L.L. Diamond, Maria Grace, Cassandra Grafton, Kara Louise, Susan Mason-Milks, Jane Odiwe, C. Allyn Pierson, Mary Lydon Simonsen, and Shannon Winslow collaborated to put this unique collection that fills in “missing” scenes from Austen’s classic work, sure to delight any true Persuasion fan.

Wasted Words: Inspired by Jane Austen’s Emma (The Austens Book 1) by Staci Hart
Some universal truths refuse to be ignored.
Peanut butter and jelly are a match made in heaven. Spaghetti and meatballs are best friends forever. And guys like Tyler Knight don’t go for girls like Cam Emerson.
She knew from the second she met him that he didn’t belong on her bookshelf, the six-foot-six ex-tight end with a face so all-American, it could have sold apple pie. So she shelved him next to the supermodels and rock stars and took her place on her own shelf — the one with the flannel-clad, pasty-faced comic book nerds. Most of her boyfriends have existed between the pages of books, but rather than worrying over her own lacking love life, she puts all her energy into playing Cupid, using her job at the book bar, Wasted Words, as her stomping ground.
Tyler Knight always looks on the bright side. His career-ending injury turned into a job as a sports agent. A horrible breakup led him to Cam, his quirky, smart roommate who is far more beautiful than she realizes. She’s made it perfectly clear she’s not interested in him — not like that at least — but if she ever changes her mind, he won’t hesitate. Because he doesn’t see the lines she’s drawn between them, as much as she insists that they’re there. Deep down he knows that despite their differences, they’re a match well made.
*A standalone romantic comedy inspired by Jane Austen’s Emma*

Broken betrothals, cautious hearts, handsome neighbours
Get tangled up in the complications of love.
While each of the six stories in this collection takes a different path to happily ever after, all have one thing in common. Some unravelling will need to occur before love can claim her happy victims.
Unravelling Mr. Darcy
What’s a gentleman to do when he has laid his heart before a lady only to have it crushed beneath her dainty slippers? If you’re Fitzwilliam Darcy, there is only one thing to do — unravel your tightly wound pride, mend your ways, and convince the lady of your worth.
Becoming Entangled
Anne de Bourgh wishes to dance until she is dizzy, walk until she is tired, and marry a particular gentleman who causes her heart to skitter and skip and flutter. There is, however, one thing that stands between Anne and her aspirations — her mother.
Nevertheless, when a young lady is determined, things such as a mother’s restraints and a long-standing betrothal are merely impediments to be circumvented.
Enticing Miss Darcy
Having been duped once by a charming scoundrel, Georgiana Darcy finds that, along with the excitement of soirees and new experiences, her first season is chock full of uncertainty. She knows the purpose of a season is to find a husband, but how does one judge the character of a man when she dares not trust her heart?
Mr. Darcy’s Comfort
An honourable gentleman remains true to his word, and Fitzwilliam Darcy is as honourable as they come. He would never consider breaking a promise. At least, he would not have before he met Elizabeth Bennet.
Master of Longbourn
Large, awkward, unlovable, and destined to fail — that is who William Collins has always been told he was, and while he might have accepted the first three monikers, he’s worked hard to ensure the last one does not become true.
But how can someone as inept, as Collins thinks he is, ever win the heart of a lady as charming as Kitty Bennet?
Assessing Mr. Darcy
The Bennet ladies are all eager anticipation. Netherfield has been let at last! And joy of all joys, it has been leased to a single young gentleman of good fortune! To Elizabeth’s delight, the new neighbor has not come alone but has brought with him a handsome friend. With any luck, if this gentleman proves to be more than just handsome and if he can pass Elizabeth’s brother’s scrutiny, it will not only be Jane who finds a husband.

Unequal Affections by Lara S. Ormiston
When Elizabeth Bennet first knew Mr. Darcy, she despised him and was sure he felt the same. Angered by his pride and reserve, influenced by the lies of the charming Mr. Wickham, she never troubled herself to believe he was anything other than the worst of men—until, one day, he unexpectedly proposed.
Mr. Darcy’s passionate avowal of love causes Elizabeth to reevaluate everything she thought she knew about him. What she knows is that he is rich, handsome, clever, and very much in love with her. She, on the other hand, is poor, and can expect a future of increasing poverty if she does not marry. The incentives for her to accept him are strong, but she is honest enough to tell him that she does not return his affections. He says he can accept that—but will either of them ever be truly happy in a relationship of unequal affection?
Diverging from Jane Austen’s classic novel Pride and Prejudice at the proposal in the Hunsford parsonage, this story explores the kind of man Darcy is, even before his “proper humbling,” and how such a man, so full of pride, so much in love, might have behaved had Elizabeth chosen to accept his original proposal.
